Stevens hosts Internal Workshop on Cognition-Centric Systems

Stevens Institute of Technology is holding the first Internal Workshop on Cognition-Centric Systems on November 17, 2009 in response to an industry-sponsored initiative to learn more about how adaptive systems can be incorporated into the forefront of technology and engineering research.  The ability of a complex system to adjust both allocation of resources and production output to the needs of its environment is critical to the sustainability and long-term value of an enterprise.

SSE's Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez recognized among most cited and published authors at Stevens

Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez was one of the faculty members recently celebrated at the Stevens’ S.C. Williams Library for being the 2nd most prolific academic publisher at Stevens Institute of Technology according to records on Scopus, one of the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources.   During the years 2007-2009, Dr. Marquez published 30 papers in journals. Dr. Joseph Mitola, Vice President for the Research Enterprise, and SSE Distinguished Research Professor, to deliver keynote at Conference on RF Measurement Technology

Dr. Joseph Mitola III has been selected as the keynote speaker for this year’s Conference on Radio Frequency Measurement Technology for State of the Art Production and Design (RFMTC09). Mitola currently serves as Vice President for the Research Enterprise at Stevens Institute of Technology, and as Distinguished Research Professor in a joint appointment between the School of Systems and Enterprises and the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science.

International multi-year effort to create 21st century Software Engineering Curriculum (GSwE2009) released today

SSE announces the release of the Graduate Software Engineering 2009 (GSwE2009):  Model Curriculum and Guidelines for Development, a set of recommendations for a master's level graduate program in software engineering. Earlier versions of this work used the name "Graduate Software Engineering Reference Curriculum (GSwERC).
