Stevens hosts Internal Workshop on Cognition-Centric Systems

Stevens Institute of Technology is holding the first Internal Workshop on Cognition-Centric Systems on November 17, 2009 in response to an industry-sponsored initiative to learn more about how adaptive systems can be incorporated into the forefront of technology and engineering research.  The ability of a complex system to adjust both allocation of resources and production output to the needs of its environment is critical to the sustainability and long-term value of an enterprise.

Dr. Wiley Larson, Program Director, Space Systems Engineering, Dr. Dinesh Verma, Dean, School of Systems and Enterprises, and Dr. Jerry Sellers, Teaching Science and Technology, Inc. (TSTI) and SSE Space Systems Adjunct Faculty, are lead authors in the 17th volume of the Space Technology Series, Applied Space Systems Engineering, a cooperative effort of the United States Department of Defense, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), published by McGraw Hill Learning Solutions.
