Professional Resources

The Stevens Space Systems Engineering student community represents a robust cross section of industry and government employees who are current practitioners, technical leaders and future pioneers in space exploration and development.

This highly engaged hands-on program brings together a rich network of individuals who are involved on a daily basis in the project management, mission control, validation and verification, and design of space systems applications, together with experienced faculty who are leaders and experts in the field.

Below are comments from some of our students:

"By thinking of my daily interface problems as architectural decisions I have had much higher success in implementing successful design changes that have benefited the team."

"The class on verification and validation helped strengthen my understanding of verification activities necessary to qualify a space system – this knowledge has helped greatly in my work doing verification planning for Orion, including the development of verification methods and success criteria."

"This program has been invaluable. Not only have I learned system engineering practices & theory, but I’ve had the chance to bring it all together with domain knowledge & project management."
