INCOSE student chapter names new Executive Board

The student chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) at Stevens Institute of Technology has appointed a new Executive Board for the 2007-08 academic year. 

Devanandham Henry will serve as President, Alex Gorod as Vice President, Ilona Murynets as Secretary, and Jimmy Gandhi as Treasurer. 

The newly appointed leadership team will be responsible for planning and organizing various activities for the benefit of the Stevens graduate student community at large, particularly towards promoting INCOSE & Systems Engineering, and building a stronger graduate student community within the School of Systems and Enterprises.

Student chapter President, Devanandham Henry, is pursuing his PhD in Systems Engineering.  He received a Masters of Technology in Aerospace Systems Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, India and a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, India.  Before coming to Stevens, Devanandham worked with the Aeronautical Development Agency, Ministry of Defense, in India for 9 years.  His research interest is in the area of Resilient Enterprises.

Alex Gorod is a doctoral student in Engineering Management, with research interests in the area of Management of Complex Systems. Alex has a Master of Science in Telecommunications and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Pace University.  Before joining Stevens, Alex held a Research Analyst position at Salomon Smith Barney.

Ilona Murynets is a doctoral student in Systems Engineering.  Her research interests include Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems, Quality Control and Profile Clustering. Ilona has a Master of Science in Statistics, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, from Kiev, Ukraine.

Jimmy Gandhi joined Stevens in the fall of 2005, and is pursuing his PhD in Engineering Management. He has a Master of Science in Engineering Management from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management & Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. His research interests are in the area of Risk Management of Outsourced Complex Systems.  He is the lead Teaching Assistant for the course “Entrepreneurial Analysis of Engineering Design” (E421).
