Department of Defense (DoD) and Stevens Institute of Technology
Stevens Institute of Technology is the lead university in the nation's first DoD funded University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) focused on systems engineering research. Established in 2008, the mission of the Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) is to enhance and enable the DoD's capability in Systems Engineering for the successful development, integration, testing and sustainability of complex defense systems, services and enterprises. National Cryptologic School at the National Security Agency and Stevens Institute of Technology

US Army's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny and Stevens Institute of Technology
There is a very diverse and long-term collaboration between these two institutions in the area of systems engineering education, research, and training. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between them in 2004 to formalize this relationship.
