INCOSE CSEP

Stevens Institute of Technology and the International Council on Systems Engineers (INCOSE) have signed an agreement that will streamline how Stevens graduate students and alumni can obtain INCOSE’s Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) and Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification. Through the terms of the agreement, Stevens and INCOSE will collaborate to encourage and enable the certification of Stevens’ qualified graduate students and alumni who are interested in pursuing certification as part of their academic and professional goals.

The program is open to Stevens’ graduate students and alumni who have satisfactorily completed for academic credit the following four core Systems Engineering courses:

  • SYS/SDOE 625 Fundamentals of Systems Engineering
  • SYS/SDOE 650 System Architecture and Design
  • EM/SDOE 612 Project Management of Complex Systems
  • SYS/SDOE 605 Systems Integration

Qualified applicants must satisfactorily complete a free one-day Stevens’ “boot camp” to prepare them for the application process, send a completed application to INCOSE, and pay the INCOSE testing fee.

Stevens will pay the CSEP or ASEP application fee for current Stevens students. Stevens Alumni will receive a 15% discount off the Stevens CAB Member rate for the INCOSE CSEP and ASEP application fees. (This is a savings of $45 off the CSEP application fee and $22.50 off the ASEP application fee.)

Boot camp is held on-campus at Stevens in Hoboken, NJ, the middle of each semester (October 20, 2009, March 2010, July 2010 ); students can participate remotely via Webex.
